Maintenance-free Heat Exchange
Two concentric tubes form an inner central path and a second annular path between the two tubes. This is one of the simplest and most maintenance-free forms of heat exchange equipment. As is the case with the majority of Hipex heat exchangers, the two tubes can be corrugated to improve heat transfer and reduce stress.
The Double Tube heat exchanger is ideal for steam heating because it can handle large or fibrous products without clogging.

While the tubes are fully welded in their standard configuration, the Double Tube is also available in a strippable configuration. The inner tube can be removed from the outer jacket to inspect all heat transfer surfaces visually.
As a result, the unit is suitable for regeneration applications involving products on both sides of the heat exchanger.
