As demonstrated during the trial stage at the Hipex food laboratory, the unit used a water re-boiler connected to a separation vessel to generate culinary steam, which was constructed from corrosion-resistant grade 2205 duplex stainless steel. As with all Hipex pressure vessel, the design was achieved with full calculations, verified and registered with the appropriate Workcover authority.
